Schedule of Space Week NY 2026 Events
HEADLINE EVENT: NEW YORK SPACE FORUM
NY Space Forum @ the Intrepid Museum
9:30 am - 5:00 pm
Space Week New York 2026 is a powerhouse series of events focused on the strengths and economic potential of New York’s space economy. Hosted by Empire Space and the Intrepid Museum, the 2026 program features a full day of expert panels and immersive breakout sessions at the Intrepid Museum, as well as a week of virtual spotlight interviews, in-person networking mixers, and information sessions.
New York is home to critical specialties and expertise clusters driving growth in the 21st century space economy. Optics, photonics, precision machining, finance, law, and many more key space industries call New York home. Space Week New York is an opportunity to celebrate their success and actively expand new growth opportunities.
The Intrepid Museum recently launched a new initiative, “The Place for Aerospace,” to respond to a national need – the growing demand for aerospace professionals across all levels: scientists, engineers, technicians and production workers, and other skill sets often not perceived to be needed in aerospace – designers, architects, and more, amid a widespread lack of awareness among students about career pathways in this rapidly evolving field.
We look forward to welcoming you to Space Week New York 2026 and the amazing program we have ready for you!

The SpaceTech Legal & Capital Playbook
Hosted by Cooley
Includes the "Formation to Funding: Best Practices when Starting and Scaling a Spacetech Startup" panel:
Starting a spacetech company is different. Investors evaluate risk, timelines, and upside differently than they do for SaaS or AI, with greater focus on hardware, capital intensity, regulatory exposure, and long‑term market demand. This program looks at what spacetech investors are actually underwriting, how current market dynamics shape investment decisions, and where regulatory considerations can influence capital formation early, including issues that arise with foreign investors. Join Cooley and Empire Space during Space Week NY for a founder‑focused discussion that connects early fundraising decisions with the legal and regulatory realities space companies tend to encounter sooner than expected.
